During a difficult time I light a candle. The gentle light of a burning candle gives me a sense of calm and a positive focus. Time for a deep breath, time out to reorient myself, my thoughts, my attitude.
Stress is all around us. It helps to have a practice or two up your sleeve to give yourself a break.
Walking, knitting, writing in my journal are other things that help me in tense times.
